Celtic are Scottish Premiership champions after a dramatic 3-1 victory over title rivals Hearts. The win at Celtic Park on Saturday secured the league with a game to spare.

Hearts had taken a shock lead just before half-time through Lawrence Shankland. The visitors' advantage was short-lived, as Celtic levelled from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time through Arne Engels.

The match remained tense and finely balanced until the final minutes. Daizen Maeda then struck what proved to be the winner in the 87th minute, a goal confirmed after a VAR check for offside. Substitute Callum Osmand added a third deep into added time to seal the title in emphatic fashion.

Celtic finished the match with 82 points from 38 games, two clear of Hearts who ended on 80. The victory extends Celtic's record tally of Scottish league titles.

The title success marks a significant achievement for the club, coming after a season-long battle with Hearts. Celtic's squad depth was highlighted by the impact of substitutes, with Osmand's late goal capping the celebrations. The club now looks ahead to next season's Champions League group stage, with preparations set to begin after a short break.
