Martin O'Neill confirmed Celtic are in discussions to bring back striker Kelechi Iheanacho, 29, who was instrumental in last season’s double success. His late winners against Kilmarnock, Dundee, Hibs, and Motherwell secured 12 league points alone. O’Neill stressed the urgency, stating, I’d like to do something relatively quickly so he can start pre-season.
Uruguayan defender Marcelo Saracchi, who impressed on loan from Boca Juniors last term, is also in the frame. O’Neill joked he’d offer the 26-year-old a 25-year contract for his pivotal role in the title-clinching win over Hearts.
