Celtic have named their starting XI for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. The Hoops will be looking to bounce back from a rusty start to the season. Celtic have only one injury concern going into the game. Jota remains unavailable despite making an encouraging return to first-team training this week. The Portuguese winger took part in every drill during Friday’s session, although some of his work was unopposed and he is still not back in full contact. Shaun Maloney confirmed that Jota remains a number of weeks away from a return to competitive action, with everyone else fit for the trip to Ayrshire. Liam Scales is another absentee, although his absence is through suspension rather than injury. The defender is serving the second match of a two-game Premiership ban carried over from last season after also sitting out the win over Dundee. There has also been plenty of attention around Arne Engels and Alistair Johnston following transfer interest in both players. Maloney made clear on Friday that nothing had changed with either player and that both had continued to train well ahead of the Kilmarnock game. Celtic’s build-up has also taken place against the backdrop of Martin O’Neill’s recovery after he underwent a small procedure earlier this week. Kilmarnock come into the game looking for their first points of the campaign after losing a seven-goal opener 4-3 away to St Johnstone last weekend. Celtic will also remember their previous league visit to Rugby Park, when they had to come from 2-0 down before a dramatic 97th-minute Julián Araujo winner secured a 3-2 victory.
