Celtic are set to announce the signing of Chelsea wonderkid Landon Emenalo on a season-long loan deal, with the 18-year-old already receiving VIP treatment at the Scottish champions' training HQ in Lennoxtown. The Parkhead club have targeted the left-back as cover for Kieran Tierney after passing up on the chance to re-sign Marcelo Saracchi earlier this summer.

Celtic have brought in Haissem Hassan, Camilo Duran, and Kasper Hogh so far this summer, and the club is hopeful of rubber-stamping a switch for Emenalo, who has been capped by both England and the United States at international youth level.

Speaking earlier this month, Martin O'Neill insisted there was 'no question' that Celtic would make more signings this summer, but he wants 'quality rather than quantity'.

The son of former Chelsea technical director Michael has been tipped to have a huge future with the Blues, and the Premier League giants are keen for the youngster to head out on loan to continue his development.

Celtic are currently 1st in the Premiership, with 6 points from 2 games, and are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The club's next fixture is against Dundee Utd on December 30th.

Currently sidelined for Celtic is Jota.
