Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Reveals Role of Wife Perrie Edwards in Celtic Transfer

Personal Life and Commitment

Veteran midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that his wife, pop star Perrie Edwards, played a significant role in his transfer to Celtic. The couple tied the knot in June, just before Oxlade-Chamberlain committed himself to the club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain stated: 'My wife endorses the move, for sure. Even if I hadn’t signed she would have worn the shirt at TRNSMT.' He added that he warned his wife it was a risky move but she didn't listen. Both big moves were never in doubt for them.

Pre-Season and New Players

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been working on his fitness after missing pre-seasons due to injuries and other circumstances over the past few years. He believes that this pre-season preparation will help him get back up to speed and be ready for the start of the season. The midfielder is excited about the new signings, Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran.

He said: 'The both seem like lively characters. You have to be coming into this changing room because there are a good bunch of lads who have been here a while.' Oxlade-Chamberlain believes that Hogh and Duran will fit in well with the team and contribute positively on the pitch.

Departure of Arne Engels

Oxlade-Chamberlain also mentioned that midfielder Arne Engels is set to leave Celtic for West Ham. The player has been praised by Oxlade-Chamberlain, who believes he has the potential to succeed in any league and will continue to improve with experience.

Pre-Flag Day Preparation

The team is preparing for their upcoming Premiership match against Dundee on Monday. Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking forward to the tradition of Flag Day and hopes to start the season strongly by securing three points.
